 ends of a life well lived...this photo is from 1973 on a fishing boat belonging to a friend of my dad...we are both in deep space, lulled into contemplative space by the sea, sand and sun...dad would spend the next 38 years on board a vessel of some type...his deep sea adventures took him, both single handed and with crew, from Bermuda, to the keys, to the US and British Virgin Islands, to Maine, Blue Hill, Menemsha Harbor, Block Island and many other coves and places of beauty and mystery...a live well lived, fully and in pursuit of his bliss...rest well papa...

amazingly, pop has the same expression on his face in this photo, taken aboard Simply Messing 38 years later in May of 2011- his 28 foot trimaran, sitting in the water in Shippan...this was his last time on board....
